This is a mock up of an intro screen I did for an ATV Safety game done here at work. Of course the real game ended up looking nothing like what I drew here. We ended up going with a more easily reproducible style, when after testing realized we needed to add a large amount of character animation to the game for reasons of comprehension. So many things get canned in the process of production it can be pretty discouraging at times. It seems that every time I look back through old concept I find these gems that never get used. The funny thing is I rarely ever look back and think that the wrong decision was made. Even if work is good sometimes it just isn't the right fit.
